The end of the Olympics

Well, I've not updated my blog for ages and now both the Olympics and Paralympics have been and gone.

I got very close to my goal of visiting all the countries of the world in London but didn't quite make it.  Nevertheless I've had an absolutely awesome time over the last year and a half travelling all over London.

I've tried so many new types of food, met interesting people, been way out of my comfort zone at some points, discovered more foreign pop than I could shake a stick at and even featured with my blog in a women's weekly magazine.  I feel so lucky to have had all these experiences.

And my zone 1 to 6 travelcard has clocked a serious amount of usage.  Only a shame I can't get frequent flyer miles on it!

I still have quite a few posts to add from the summer before I am completely up to date with my journey around the world without going further than zone 6.

I'm not going to give up the travelling altogether though and will still blog on here from time to time.  After all once you've got the travel bug it's hard to shake off.  And there are still things that I want to do (a K-pop night and the Ecuadorian restaurant in Holloway Road spring to mind).
