Another German sausage place as opened up near Bank. It had not been open very long when I visited, which might explain why it took them so long to bring my currywurst and pommes over. To be honest, it reminded me a bit of the episode of the Apprentice where the two teams had to run a fast food lunch place for a day.
Hopefully these were just teething problems due to having just opened, as the food was worth the wait. There are no tables and chairs but you can stand at the counter by the window to eat.
I didn't realise that my currywurst would come with a bread roll, so I was pretty full by the time I'd eaten all this!
The Wurst Club also sells a small range of German chocolates and sweets, as well as Club Mate to drink.

Delicious in Mauritius
Mauritius Paradise is a little food stall in the Market Hall in Wood Green Shopping City. It's tucked away at the back of the shopping centre and you can either buy your food to take away or to eat in.
I had chicken curry roti, a slice of bread pudding and a pink drink called alouda which seems to be a Mauritian version of the Indian/Pakistani drink called falooda. The service was a bit chaotic but I can't complain because the food was great.
Damascu Bite
A Mediterranean takeaway in Brick Lane.
It would be great if all takeaways looked like this one. Mind you, it is in the trendy part of the East End. I had a delicious halloumi wrap.

Wok to walk
Wok to Walk is, as I have now discovered, a chain of Asian style fast food places. However, since the food was pretty tasty and given that there is currently only one outlet in the whole of England according to their website I'm going to keep it in my blog.

You choose a base, a meat (or tofu) and a sauce and then you can watch your food being cooked whilst you wait.

Herman ze German
Herman ze German is a little fast food place on the way to Embankment. I had currywurst in spicy sauce, and at £3.95 including bread it was slightly cheaper than Kurz & Lang.
I stood at one of the counters to eat and I noticed that the majority of the customers were English men, who looked like they'd come out of nearby offices on their lunch breaks. I think that this is either a testament to how well Herman ze German is doing, that they can convince locals to come eat there, or that tourists visiting London don't want to eat wurst.

It was the best of times, it was the wurst of times
Kurz and Lang in Farringdon is a small German place that serves wurst and sauerkraut. They even serve the Berlin speciality currywurst. I'd already had lunch when I passed by so I stopped for a pretzel and a sit down.
Wrap it like it's hot
This Lebanese place on Soho is essentially a fancy takeaway. However, as takeaways go it wasn't bad. The guy who served me was very friendly and they have a cool print on the wall of a group of students at an American university in the Lebanon taken in the 1970s.
