This figure, when dressed in beads is said to be a remedy against sterility in women and was made by the Dowayo people of Cameroon.
British Museum again

The Coronation of Haile Selaisse, 1930.
Haile Selaisse was the regent of Ethiopia from 1916 to 1930.
