A statue to the curiously name Bernardo O'Higgins Riquelme, whose name makes sense once you know that he was a man of Chilean and Irish descent. He played a role in the Chilean struggle for independence during the first part of the 19th century.
Bernardo O´Higgins spent time during his late teens living and workingin Richmond which is why this bust of him can be found there.
